Columbus is a city in Lowndes County, Mississippi, United States on the Tombigbee River. Columbus is also part of the area of Northeast MS called The Golden Triangle, consisting of Columbus, West Point, and Starkville, in the counties of Lowndes, Clay, and Oktibbeha.
