Ladd is a village in Bureau County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,313 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Ottawa–Streator Micropolitan Statistical Area. Ladd is most notable for the large hill in the middle of town that resulted from the years of mining conducted in the town and for a World War II tank located in the center of its park. Ladd is the center of the local music scene with the Cancun in Ladd hosting shows at least once a month. Lanuti's Tavern and Rip's Tavern are area wide favorites famous for their fried chicken. Ladd is located a few miles north of Interstate 80 on Illinois Route 89.
