Haledon (pronounced HALE-dun) is a borough in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the borough population was 8,252. Haledon was incorporated as a borough by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 8, 1908, replacing the now-defunct Manchester Township, based on the results of a referendum held on May 21, 1908.
