Sangerville is a town in Piscataquis County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,270 at the 2000 census. It is the birthplace of Hiram Stevens Maxim (1840–1916)and Sir Harry Oakes, 1st Baronet (December 23, 1874 – July 7, 1943).
