Diamond Springs (formerly, Diamond Spring and Diamond) is a census-designated place (CDP) in El Dorado County, California, United States. It is part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 4,888 at the 2000 census. The town is registered as California Historical Landmark #487. It lies at an elevation of 1791 feet (546 m).
