Archer is an unincorporated community in northwestern Merrick County, Nebraska, United States. It lies along local roads south of Nebraska Highway 92, northwest of the city of Central City, the county seat of Merrick County. Its elevation is 1,742 feet (531 m), and it is located at 41°9′55″N 98°8′9″W / 41.16528°N 98.13583°W / 41.16528; -98.13583 (41.1652914, -98.1358939). The community is named for Robert T. Archer.
