Ellenburg is a town in Clinton County, New York, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2000 census. The town is named after Ellen, the daughter of the principal proprietor. The town of Ellenburg is on the west border of the county and is northwest of Plattsburgh. The south part of the town is in the Adirondack Park.
