A civil right is an enforceable right or privilege, which if interfered with by another gives rise to an action for injury. Examples of civil rights are freedom of speech, press, and assembly; the right to vote; freedom from involuntary servitude; and the right to equality in public places. Discrimination occurs when the civil rights of an individual are denied or interfered with because of their membership in a particular group or class. Statutes have been enacted to prevent discrimination based on race, sex, religion, age, previous condition of servitude, physical limitation, national origin, and in some instances sexual preference. Raynesford is an unincorporated community in Judith Basin County, Montana, United States. Its elevation is 4,042 feet (1,232 m), and it is located at 47°16′12″N 110°43′48″W / 47.27°N 110.73°W / 47.27; -110.73 (47.2699643, -110.7299417). The community includes an elementary school, a fire department, and a post office. The post office was established under the name of "Spion Kop" on March 31, 1906; its name was changed to Raynesford exactly three years later.
