Fairview is a city located in Williamson County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 5,800 at the 2000 census. There is also an unincorporated community of the same name in Scott County. Fairview has experienced steady growth over the last few years. Currently, Fairview has some major construction projects going on with the construction of a major shopping center in the heart of the city. Publix Supermarkets will be opening their new grocery store in January of 2011. Along with the Publix Supermarket, there are several other shops that will be opening in the new plaza. This is by far one of the largest construction projects to take place in Fairview in many years.
