Orient is a census-designated place (CDP) roughly corresponding to the hamlet (unincorporated place) in the town of Southold in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The CDP's population was 709 at the 2000 census. Orient and Orient Point are used almost interchangeably. However Orient Point refers specifically to the physical point at the end of the North Fork of Long Island while Orient is the hamlet in which the point is located.
What is class action litigation?
Class actions are lawsuits brought by a representative member(s) of a large group of persons on behalf of all the members of the group who have suffered identical or similar harm for which the same defendant may be liable -- such as a defective product class action against a manufacturer or an employment discrimination class action against a large company.
