It is the principal city of the Morristown, Tennessee Metropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses all of Grainger, Hamblen and Jefferson counties. The Morristown metropolitan area is also a part of the Knoxville-Sevierville-La Follette, TN Combined Statistical Area.
