A contingent fee is when an attorney charges dependent upon a successful outcome in the case. It is often agreed to be a percentage of the total recovery to the client. Such fee arrangements are often used in negligence cases and other civil actions but not for criminal defense or divorce actions.
Moyock is an unincorporated community in Currituck County, North Carolina. It is located on NC 168 just south of the Virginia state line. The community sits at the end of the Chesapeake Expressway toll road, and is only a short drive from downtown Norfolk, Virginia. Because of this, Moyock has begun to witness an increase in residential development as an emerging bedroom community for Hampton Roads. Moyock is the corporate headquarters of Xe Services LLC (formerly Blackwater Worldwide), a private security company that provides training for United States military and police forces and supplies private paramilitary forces in Iraq and other theaters. The company maintains a 7,000-acre (28 km) training center in the town on Puddin Ridge Road.
