Mesquite is a city in Dallas and Kaufman Counties in the U.S. state of Texas and a suburb of Dallas. The city had a total population of 124,523 in the 2000 census which increased to 136,750 in the 2007 census estimate. Mesquite also contains one of the largest movie theaters in the world, the AMC 30 Mesquite, which contains 30 screens and seats 6,092 people.
