Emmett is a city in Gem County, Idaho, United States. The population was 5,490 at the 2000 census; it was estimated to have risen to 6,341 by 2007. It is the county seat and the only city in the county. Emmett is part of the Boise City–Nampa, Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area.
