Fortescue is an unincorporated area on the southern coast of New Jersey, in Delaware Bay. It has a population of about 400. Fortescue is the self-proclaimed "weakfish capital of the world". Fortescue is part of the Fortescue State Wildlife Management Area which is located in Downe Township, in Cumberland County, New Jersey, United States, and makes up 1,160.52 acres.
