Whitesburg is an unincorporated community in eastern Hamblen County, Tennessee. The small, rural community is located along U.S. Route 11E. Whitesburg is bordered by Russellville on the west and Bulls Gap on the east. A U.S. post office, Whitesburg Elementary School and East Ridge Middle School, parts of the Hamblen County school system, are located in Whitesburg. It is a close farming community with a back-home feel. It is the home of few wealthy people, which is quite surprising, counting the number of beautiful land plots.
What is criminal defense law?
In a criminal case, the state, through a prosecutor, initiates the suit, while in a civil case the victim brings the suit. Persons convicted of a crime may be incarcerated, fined, or both. Criminal defense attorneys represent clients who have been accused of committing a crime, and defend their rights at each stage of a misdemeanor or felony case -- from an arrest to an appeal after conviction. Criminal defense attorneys may be hired privately or provided by the government (called "public defenders").
