Criminal defense attorneys represent clients who have been accused of committing a crime, and defend their rights at each stage of a misdemeanor or felony case -- from an arrest to an appeal after conviction. Madison is a city in Boone County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 2,677 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Boone County. Madison was first established as Boone Court House. It was burned during the American Civil War and was then incorporated in 1906 and named for Colonel William Madison Peyton, a pioneer coal operator, who was a leader in the movement which resulted in the formation of Boone County. Madison is the "Gateway to the Coalfields."
