Pippa Passes is a city in Knott County, Kentucky, United States. The city is most known for being the location of Alice Lloyd College. The population was 297 at the 2000 census. Pippa Passes was incorporated as a Kentucky sixth-class city on July 1, 1983, and is governed by a mayor and city council. As of 2009, the city's mayor is Scott Cornett, who is also the Alice Lloyd College baseball coach. The city's police department operates as a combined unit with the college's security organization.
