Verona is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA, 13 miles (21 km) east by north of downtown Pittsburgh, on the east bank of the Allegheny River. Formerly, railroad shops, tool works, lumber yards, steel-casting works, structural iron works, and a chemical plant operated in the borough. Woodings-Verona Tool Works, Inc. once produced tools in the borough along Jones Street. Producing cocktail mixes and Little Hugs, Daily Juice Products currently has a large-scale production facility where the train roundhouse once stood next to Plum Creek. Bunting Graphics, Inc. also has operation in Verona. Bunting Graphics has supplied signage and architecture around the world, including for the National Parks System. In 1900, the number of people living in Verona was 1,904; the population increased to 2,849 in 1910. The population was 3,124 at the 2000 census.
