Milton is a city in Trimble County, Kentucky, United States, along the Ohio River. The population was 525 at the 2000 census. The Milton-Madison Bridge connects it to Madison, Indiana and is the only automobile link between the two states for 40 miles in either direction. Milton was founded in 1789, three years before Kentucky became a state. Milton is one of the oldest towns in Kentucky, and Barrack Obama's heritage has recently been linked to a slave family from Milton. It was seen in the 1958 film Some Came Running.
