Frisco is a city in Collin and Denton Counties in the U.S. state of Texas and a wealthy and rapidly growing suburb of Dallas. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 33,714, while according to 2008 city and census estimates, the city's population has surpassed 100,000. Frisco has been and continues to be one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. In the late 1990s, the northern Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex suburban development tide hit the northern border of Plano and spilled into Frisco, sparking explosive growth into the 2000s.
