Driving While Intoxicated is the offense of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Burlington is the largest city in the U.S. state of Vermont and the shire town of Chittenden County. As of 2000, the Burlington-South Burlington metropolitan area contained the three northwestern Vermont counties of Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle, with an estimated 2006 population of 206,007, approximately one third of Vermont's total population.
