Recreation includes a Clark Glasson designed and built golf course, fly fishing, hunting including big game and waterfowl, white water rafting, artists galleries, equestrian and rodeo events. It was used as a pilot training base during World War II, but in 2007 it was expanded with larger/longer runways with new hangers and a new fueling area/system.
