According to the most recent US Census Bureau estimate (2008), the population is 14,875, an increase of more than 100 percent since the official 2000 census (the population in 2000 was 6,239). Pooler is located northwest of Savannah near I-95 and is part of the Savannah Metropolitan Statistical Area.
