Family law is an area of the law that deals with family-related issues and domestic relations including the nature of marriage, civil unions, and domestic partnerships; issues arising during marriage, including spousal abuse, legitimacy, adoption, surrogacy, child abuse, and child abduction; the termination of the relationship and ancillary matters including divorce, annulment, property settlements, alimony, and parental responsibility orders (in the United States, child custody and visitation, child support and alimony awards).
LaMoure is a city in LaMoure County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 944 at the 2000 census. LaMoure was founded in 1882, and was named after Judson LaMoure, a territorial legislator (LaMoure County and the cities of Jud and Judson are also named for him; one of his descendants was the well-known writer Louis L'Amour). LaMoure was one of eight global transmission sites of the Omega Navigation System until its closure on September 30, 1997. The station is now used for VLF communication purposes of the US Navy.
