Decatur is a village in Van Buren County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,838 at the 2000 census. The village is located within Decatur Township. This town is named after war hero Stephen Decatur, Jr. Ventriloquist Edgar Bergen grew up here and a street is named for him.
