Elmore is a city in Faribault County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 735 at the 2000 census. Elmore was the boyhood home of former vice president and presidential candidate Walter F. Mondale. The city motto at one time was "Not a Bad Border Town. " The motto was changed to the current "A Great Border Town".
