Grand Saline is a city in Van Zandt County, Texas, United States. The population was 3,028 at the 2000 census. Grand Saline is the third largest city in Van Zandt County and is a part of the Greater Tyler/Longview area. The name Grand Saline is taken from a large salt deposit in the area, currently mined by Morton Salt.
