Marion is a city in Crittenden County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 8,901 at the 2000 census. The city is the county seat of Crittenden County, and is part of the Memphis metropolitan area. It is the second largest city in Crittenden County, behind West Memphis. Both Union Pacific Railroad and BNSF Railway operate major intermodal freight terminals near Marion.
