Labor law is the body of law which address the legal relationship between trade unions, employees, and employers -- including collective bargaining, union organization activities, and the negotiation of strikes and lockouts. Labor law arose due to the demands for workers for better conditions, the right to organize, and the simultaneous demands of employers to keep labor costs low. Labor law attorneys may represent their clients in matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), which hears disputes between employers and unionized employees.
Glenmora is a town in Rapides Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is part of the Alexandria, Louisiana Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,558 at the 2000 census. Claude Kirkpatrick (1917-1997), a member of the Louisiana House of Rerpesentatives from Jefferson Davis Parish from 1952-1960, a candidate for governor in 1963, and the instigator of Toledo Bend Reservoir was born in Glenmora but moved to Lake Charles when he was six years of age.
