Labor law is the body of law which address the legal relationship between trade unions, employees, and employers -- including collective bargaining, union organization activities, and the negotiation of strikes and lockouts. Labor law arose due to the demands for workers for better conditions, the right to organize, and the simultaneous demands of employers to keep labor costs low. Sedgewickville is a village in northern Bollinger County in Southeast Missouri in the United States. As of the 2000 U.S. Census, the population was 197; a 2008 estimate, however, showed the population to be 192, a decrease of 2.54%. Sedgewickville is part of the Cape Girardeau–Jackson, MO-IL Metropolitan Statistical Area.
