Labor law is the body of law which address the legal relationship between trade unions, employees, and employers -- including collective bargaining, union organization activities, and the negotiation of strikes and lockouts. Labor law arose due to the demands for workers for better conditions, the right to organize, and the simultaneous demands of employers to keep labor costs low. Labor law attorneys may represent their clients in matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), which hears disputes between employers and unionized employees.
Kimball is a city in Kimball County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 2,559 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Kimball County. Kimball is located in the southwestern corner of the Nebraska Panhandle. It is near the point of highest elevation in Nebraska. J. Wayne Robbins (May 7, 1927–December 15, 2007) was a Louisiana native who served as mayor of Kimball from 1978–1982. Previously, he was a member of the Kimball School Board and the Kimball City Council. Robbins was born in Haynesville in northern Claiborne Parish just south of the Arkansas state line. He was in oil drilling and later the construction business.
