Belford is a census-designated place and unincorporated area located within Middletown Township, in Monmouth County, New Jersey. As of the United States 2000 Census, the CDP population was 1,340. Belford is connected to New York City by a ferry which runs up the Jersey shore in the Atlantic Ocean into New York Harbor to Manhattan.
