Labor law arose due to the demands for workers for better conditions, the right to organize, and the simultaneous demands of employers to keep labor costs low. Labor law attorneys may represent their clients in matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), which hears disputes between employers and unionized employees.
Highlands, also known as Elena, is a census-designated place (CDP) located along the Missouri Pacific Railroad, north of Texas State Highway 73, and west of Farm to Market Road 2100 in an industrialized area of unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States. The population was 7,089 at the 2000 census.
