Centerville is a city in Houston County, Georgia, United States. The city is in the Macon metropolitan area. It was incorporated March 25, 1958. The population was 4,278 at the 2000 census. The 2003 estimate put the population at 5,268 and the 2007 population estimate put it at 6,448 people. The town along with many suburban areas in the United States is seeing unprecedented growth in population. It used to be a bedroom community for the growing Warner Robins. The town is currently working to develop a type of downtown area. The plans include a double building road with buildings at both sides, street lamps, plants and flowers, fountains and much more. The town is trying to attract specialty stores to that area.
