Emporium is a borough in Cameron County, Pennsylvania, 100 miles (161 km) west-northwest of Williamsport. Early in the twentieth century, it had large powder plants and manufactories of radio tubes, incandescent lamps, paving brick, flour, iron, lumber, sole leather, etc. In 1900, 2,463 people lived in Emporium, and in 1910, the population was 2,916. The population was 2,526 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Cameron County.
