Moundville is a town in Hale and Tuscaloosa Counties in the U.S. state of Alabama. At the 2000 census the population was 1,809. It is part of the Tuscaloosa Metropolitan Statistical Area. Moundville is known for its quintessential southern landscapes. One of its clams to fame being that it provided the cinematic backdrop to the 2001 Blockbuster "Jeepers Creepers"
