Attorneys who practice native peoples law handle cases involving disputes related to the limited power of the federal government to regulate tribe property and activity, and cases involving unlawful discrimination against native peoples.
Hiawassee is a town in and the county seat of Towns County, Georgia, United States. The population was 808 at the 2000 census. Its name comes from the Cherokee word "Ayuhwasi", which means a meadow.
