Native Peoples Law is the area of law related to those peoples indigenous to the continent at the time of European colonization specifically Native Indians, Native Hawaiians, Alaska Natives and other native groups. Attorneys who practice native peoples law handle cases involving disputes related to the limited power of the federal government to regulate tribe property and activity, and cases involving unlawful discrimination against native peoples.
Altmar is a village in Oswego County, New York, United States. The population was 351 at the 2000 census. The Village of Altmar (formerly "Sand Bank") is in northern part of the Town of Albion at State Route 13 and County Route 22. Altmar is the seat of the town government.
