Weedsport is a village in Cayuga County, New York, USA. The population was 2,017 at the 2000 census. The name is from Elihu and Edward Weed, merchants who helped found the village. The Village of Weedsport is in northern part of the Town of Brutus. Weedsport was a port on the Erie Canal, west of Syracuse, New York. Whitford's Airport is north of the village in the Town of Cato.
