Native Peoples Law is the area of law related to those peoples indigenous to the continent at the time of European colonization specifically Native Indians, Native Hawaiians, Alaska Natives and other native groups. Attorneys who practice native peoples law handle cases involving disputes related to the limited power of the federal government to regulate tribe property and activity, and cases involving unlawful discrimination against native peoples.
Fort Totten is a census-designated place (CDP) in Benson County, North Dakota, in the United States. The population was 952 at the 2000 census. Fort Totten is located within the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation, and even though it is not formally incorporated as a city, it has the largest population of any community in Benson County.
