A non-profit organization (abbreviated as NPO, also known as a not-for-profit organization) is an organization that does not distribute its surplus funds to owners or shareholders, but instead uses them to help pursue its goals. Examples of NPOs include charities (i.e. charitable organizations), trade unions, and public arts organizations. Arizona City is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pinal County, Arizona, United States. The population was 4,385 at the 2000 census. From time to time, most recently in 2007, attempts have been made to incorporate as a municipality, but they have so far always been defeated at the ballot box, except for the first effort, which succeeded at the ballot box but was not accepted because there were not enough residents to incorporate .
