A non-profit organization (abbreviated as NPO, also known as a not-for-profit organization) is an organization that does not distribute its surplus funds to owners or shareholders, but instead uses them to help pursue its goals. Examples of NPOs include charities (i.e. charitable organizations), trade unions, and public arts organizations. Goodland is a census-designated place (CDP) in Collier County, Florida, United States. The population was 320 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Naples–Marco Island Metropolitan Statistical Area. Located on an outlying portion of Marco Island, it is the closest community to Cape Romano, the southern tip of a nearby island that was the official site of the Florida landfall of Hurricane Wilma.
