A non-profit organization (abbreviated as NPO, also known as a not-for-profit organization) is an organization that does not distribute its surplus funds to owners or shareholders, but instead uses them to help pursue its goals. Gorham is a village in Jackson County, Illinois, United States. The population was 256 at the 2000 census. It is known locally for its near-annihilation during the deadly Tri-State Tornado of 1925. On June 15, 1999, resident George Morber and his grown daughter, Carolyn Frederick, were murdered by serial killer Angel Maturino Resendiz.
