Nicholasville is the 11th largest city in state of Kentucky and the county seat of Jessamine County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 19,680 at the 2000 census. 2008 population estimates put Nicholasville at a population of 26,644. It functions as both a residential area for commuters to Lexington, and also as an employment and shopping center for South Central Kentucky.
