Examples of NPOs include charities (i.e. charitable organizations), trade unions, and public arts organizations. Attorneys who work with non-profit organizations help in establishing and operating a non-profit within the requirements of the law, deal with issues of taxation, corporate governance, telephone solicitation and charitable fraud.
Sikes is a village in Winn Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 121 at the 2000 census. Sikes was the birthplace of the Louisiana state trial and appellate court judge Henry L. Yelverton, who was based in Lake Charles. Early in his career, Louisiana State Representative James R. Fannin taught agricultural education at Sikes High School.
