A non-profit organization (abbreviated as NPO, also known as a not-for-profit organization) is an organization that does not distribute its surplus funds to owners or shareholders, but instead uses them to help pursue its goals. Examples of NPOs include charities (i.e. charitable organizations), trade unions, and public arts organizations. Fishers Landing is a hamlet in the town of Orleans in Jefferson County, New York just southwest of Grass Point State Park. This is a favorite vacation destination for many coming to the Thousand Islands. Foxy's Restaurant is a well known location on the St. Lawrence River where you can dock your boat and stop for a bite to eat. There is a local marina where island owners and visitors park their car\boat while traveling to and from the mainland. Fishers Landing is also the area where Rock Island Light is located and it is directly across the water from Thousand Island Park on Wellesley Island.
