A non-profit organization (abbreviated as NPO, also known as a not-for-profit organization) is an organization that does not distribute its surplus funds to owners or shareholders, but instead uses them to help pursue its goals. Examples of NPOs include charities (i.e. charitable organizations), trade unions, and public arts organizations. Ridgecrest is an unincorporated settlement in eastern Buncombe County, North Carolina, off of Interstate 40/U.S. Route 70, in eastern Buncombe County. The community is part of the Asheville Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is also home to Ridgecrest Camp for Boys and Crestridge Camp for Girls, two large and successful Christian summer camps.
