A non-profit organization (abbreviated as NPO, also known as a not-for-profit organization) is an organization that does not distribute its surplus funds to owners or shareholders, but instead uses them to help pursue its goals. Examples of NPOs include charities (i.e. charitable organizations), trade unions, and public arts organizations. New Lexington is a village in and the county seat of Perry County, Ohio, United States, 21 miles (34 km) southwest of Zanesville. The population was 4,689 at the 2000 census. In 1900, 1,701 people lived in New Lexington, Ohio; in 1910, 2,559 lived here.
