It also holds the great Weiss Lake and the Cornwall Furnace. The national attraction called the Little River Canyon was formed near there. Many legendary students and stories came from the school such as, Jamie Hampton, a player now on the college football team Troy,as well as the notorious class of 2009 led by Colton Richardson a.k. a (Colt), Justin Wood a.k. a (J. Wood), Anthony Taylor a.k. a (Ant), and Jake Bevels a.k. a (Tiny tiny man). They have been involved in several championships but have recently won Boys and Girls State Track Championships three years in a row. (2007, 2008, 2009)
